Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, and the Speedo version (shown on the App Store page) so we can help faster.
Speedo needs location access to calculate speed. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Speedo and choose While Using the App, with Precise Location turned on. Also make sure Location Services is enabled overall.
Speed is calculated from GPS, which is most accurate outdoors with a clear view of the sky. Tunnels, tall buildings, dense tree cover, or starting the app while stationary can cause brief inaccuracies. Give it a few seconds after you start moving for the GPS signal to settle.
Speedo shows your speed as a Live Activity while a trip is active. If it doesn’t appear, check Settings → Speedo → Live Activities is turned on. The Dynamic Island is available on iPhone 14 Pro and later; other iPhones show the Live Activity on the Lock Screen.
Use the reset button in the app. This clears your current speed, distance, and trip statistics. Closing the app also clears them, since Speedo does not store trip data.
Yes, you can change units in the app’s settings.
Speedo is free and supported by ads. If you chose “Ask App Not to Track”, the app works exactly the same, but ads won’t be personalized.
No. Location data is used only on your device, in real time, and is never stored or sent to us. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Always keep your eyes on the road. Don’t interact with your phone while driving. Speedo is for information only and should not replace your vehicle’s speedometer.
